Well, they are true words, but AOL is hardly a monopoly.
Secondly, while I am no great fan of their service...it's not that bad. Remember, most of the people here are probably "early adopters". That means we're risk takers. AOL isn't for us. But how many people are really going to be so computer literate as to not want AOL? Very few anytime soon, I'm afraid. So, AOL is good for them. It works, it's pleasant, it's easy. And they aren't forcing themselves down anyone's throat, like MSFT.
What's better, is they are slowly preparing themselves for the eventual day when people are more computer literate, and their service is obsolete. So, AOL will be here for quite a while, I'm afraid (or happy?) to say.
They are smart. Much smarter than Gates.
