Ditto...needs a 3x optical zoom and at least 2 mill pix at the same price point. $599 msrp will also get you a Nikon 700 (one of the best.) Less than 500 if you look around. I just placed an order for the Nikon 950 for $819.95 (msrp of 999.) We'll see what the future holds.
