Mean? Its the truth isn't it? <g> Seriously, I saw the tape of that comment, it was a slip of the tongue and I'm sure an embarrassing one. I'm not talking about "mean" stuff, I'm talking affirmative lying which is meant to sway emotions to garner votes. Telling an aging constituency that the Republican medicare proposal means they will all freeze or starve or a minority constituency that Republicans like burning black churches is a whole different order of magnitude. Big difference. And I would venture to say that despite the outcome of the impeachment "trial" most people would agree that affirmative lying is still bad even in a political sense. JLA
