The text was nowhere to be found, even inside the battery housing.

Sometimes you have to look very closely. Last night I was quaffing a happy hour brew at a local gin mill and this young thing sat down next to me and whipped out a cute little Audiovox unit. I asked if I could look at it (strictly in the name of thread research).
Had a Primeco brand on it but at first I couldn't find any QCOM reference. Lo and behold I turn it on its end and there was the smallest little sticker you can imagine on the thin end bottom of the phone that said (after much eyestrain) 'digital by Qualcomm'. If you wrote it inside these two equals symbols == that would be about the size of it. Clear plastic sticker, except for the print.

Best regards,
Jim
