My question is who appraised the collection for Life Trust?

Ahhhhhh, that is the question. We don't know. However, you might find this site interesting:

Jack - I've been looking into the stamp issue, and have contacted a few editors of numismatic publications, asking if they'd ever heard of it, figuring a $50 million collection of stamps from Aden would be pretty famous. Only one person I contacted had heard of it, and he said:
>Yes this alleged $50 million bunch of stamps was a story about 10? years
> ago. The value was bogus and was based on unrealistic market values. The
> horde was an enormous bunch of mint sheets created on speculation and for
> sale to collectors.

I have written to HITT IR, asking if the collection is mint sheets, and received no response.
