OT Re: ID password problem. Thanks, Eric; you are the only one to respond so far. Unfortunately, that's exactly what I did check. The settings for "user authentication" are identical on both computers. Prompt for password. I have even tried switching the office setting to see if any of the other settings would solve the problem--to no avail. It's not an SI problem or I would be encountering the same problem on both computers.

Anyone got any other suggestions?
