An amazing day for a stock that was all but dead and buried. I look forward to another month of posts that carefully calculate the book value of ALSC. In addition, maybe we can get another spin on the same UMC/BRCM/Chartered news in about a month or so. That way, we can start some more wishful thinking about next quarters' earnings before the stock drops back down to 7 1/2 again. I must point out that any institutional activity that was present today represented selling from retail buyers activity. Check Thompson IWatch to confirm this fact. Smart money realizes that national television created this aberration. View FSTW chart if you want to see what happens to a stock after CNBC pumps it. Bottom line: this company has a poor core business, terrible earnings in the hottest sector, and a management team that is incapable of even simple decisions. I'm going to start trading because clearly, solid due dilligence means nothing in this market.
