Charlie - I totally agree w/ you re: Bloomberg's faltering empire.
Back when I first began using "the box" at work (circa 1988), he kept his lock on the $1,200 per month (!!) charge to Wall Street by cramming more and more stuff inside.

'Course all the traders had to have their ski reports, sports scores, etc., and simply couldn't part with "the box," even for lower-costing (sometimes technically superior) products that were available at the time.

Of course, the Web changes everything, and Bloomberg's eventually got to readdress the stuff that it's subscribers can now get for free.

That being said -- I still really like the concept of what Yahoo is doing. Speak softly, but carry a big stick...
