hey tc,

more thoughts on systemworks...

i don't know if you are a regular reader of this thread. if you are than please excuse my redundancy in what i am about to say. i'm posting this on the assumption that you are not a regular reader. <g3>

more than a few times i have touted what i feel are the merits if tipworld. they can be found at, you guessed it

tipworld.com

in their own words, "TipWorld is the leading publisher of advice, news and learning by e-mail. Each business day. TipWorld delivers over 3.5 million newsletters to subscribers in 170 countries around the globe."

i've been a "subscriber" for many months (the service is free, btw) and i love how easy it is to turn tips off and turn new ones on. no jokes here, please. be sure to make the proper selection in the box where you are asked if you would like to receive news of new products. <g3>

but i wanted to hip you to their norton systemworks email tips. you will find them here

tipworld.com

once you get the suite installed and up and running, do check back as there are a few things we all can share. remind me to share some things with you about the virus scans.

one final note on crashguard. i want to clarify that i wasn't necessarily recommending that you should turn that component off. i was just sharing with you what i had heard, and that i am currently running with it disabled and experiencing some success. but it's a cool component in its own right, and i have had it warn me of impending crashes and on occasion it has unfrozen some locked up programs. it's easy to toggle on and off.

:)
