The "SummerDime" is pretty smart of old AMZN, IMO. People can list an item with a $1,000 minimum bid, and it costs them 10 cents. I suspect the selection is about to improve at Amazon.com Auctions.

Actually, Amazon has already offered (and may still be offering) $10 off your next Amazon purchase when you are the winning bidder on an Amazon auction.

It would be MORE bold and really take away from eBay if Amazon would PAY sellers to list and buyers to bid.

The idea would be to quickly build the traffic.

How much would it be worth to Amazon to have one million active auctions?
