hehe UH Hilo is a small university with small classes taught by the professors themselves. It was nice to be able to personally interact with PH. D's and not have to submit to the indignity of being taught by teaching assistants in classes of 300+ students. Manoa is well known for it's Astronomy, Volcanology, Marine Biology, Asian Business Departments, and really good Volleyball teams. Living on Oahu for 4 years (especially as a jarhead) doesn't make you any more of local than regularly going to McDonald's makes you a hamburger. A couple of cool things about Maui: Most people only dream of the view I see when I look up from my monitor, the niceness people here is first rate, and it's really hard to put a premium on aloha. I was happy to notice however that you took my rather crude comments like a man and didn't go tattle to the webmistress like the last person I slammed. I spent 2 years in uniform and agreee that a well-placed swear word is really quite effective. Good luck with your NAVR short, but I think it was ill timed. Nice to see a little upside today, especially during a bad market. AM
