RESEARCH ALERT-Tyco income estimates raised

NEW YORK, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Lehman Brothers on Tuesday said it raised its fiscal 2000 EPS estimate for Tyco International to $4 from $3.85.

--Lehman also raised its fiscal 2001 EPS estimate to $4.80 from $4.75.

-- Tyco completed the purchase of Raychem on Aug. 12. The company had previously suggested EPS accretion from Raychem of $0.13 in 2000 and $0.19 in 2001.

-- "Our FY01 estimate very conservatively assumes the low end of Tyco International's internal EPS growth rate of 20-25 percent."

-- "We expect more accretive acquisitions and continued healthy internal top line growth to continue to propel EPS forward at an accelerated rate. There appears to be a very full acquisition pipeline at the moment."

-- Its estimate for fiscal 1999 EPS is unchanged at $3.02.

-- Tyco's "fundamentals remain the best of any company in our universe and the strongest yet for Tyco International."

-- Shares of Tyco were trading up $1-13/16 at $104 on Tuesday morning on the New York Stock Exchange.
