First, there were few Biblical references related to this debate. Once, a long time ago, I asked Jonathan Doe what he thought of various of the proof texts used from the Bible, since he was a pro- choice Evangelical, and it made me curious...Second, no one ever said that anyone who broke a commandment was automatically going to hell, and no one would have, since even the fundamentalists believe in the possibility of forgiveness. I certainly never said, nor even implied it, but argued that posting the commandments might help to confirm the value of ethics, and if there were people of different faiths, suggested that their sacred scripture be used in a similar way...I do not recall anyone equating restricting abortion and taxes. I do recall people saying that they should not have to subsidize an activity that they find so repugnant, which is rather different..Anyway, if you are comfortable in your attitude about the fetus, there is little reason for you to object to the re- post, which is mainly informational...
