Inflation or Deflation?

Both camps are right.

People worried about inflation are looking at a different half of the
economy than the people worried about deflation.

Inflation problems

Oil prices rising.

The U.S. dollar weakening against international currencies making imports more expensive.

Tight labor market.

Housing prices in hot economic areas going through the roof.

Stock Market at all time highs. Internet stocks in a severe bubble situation with many Internet stocks (especially new IPOs) valued at 5 to 10 times what they should be.

Deflation Problems

Free PCs, Free ISPs, Free content

Extreme competition

What happens if the Market collapses? Everything deflates.
