It's great that your procedure went well. What I'm referring to though, is the "scientific method" wherein reproducable results, rigorous testing and critical analysis contribute to the sum total of human knowledge.
I'll take a shot in the dark and guess from your procedure that you are from the WW II generation. If that is so I can respect your perspective, but, fortunately, the world does move on. I'm post war and feel lucky to have close friends of many nationalities, including both German and Japanese.

P.S. I love this country also, but what you are talking about is allocation of resources more than anything else. Look at the overall life expectancy figures broken down by nationality. But that is a discussion for another place and time.

U.S. "Medical science" is most likely the most advanced and carefully produced in the world thanks mainly to...a meticulous FDA...

If we had to depend on the FDA for the advancement of medical science we would still be attaching leeches to people and hacking them open with rusty garden tools. You've got to be kidding!
