BTW some of the songs on the free MP3.com CD are

pretty darn good.

MP3.com Reports Second Quarter Operating Results
Revenues Climb to $1.9 Million
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 29, 1999--MP3.com (Nasdaq:MPPP - news) today announced financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 1999. Revenues increased to $1.9 million compared to revenues of $247,000 during the comparable quarter one year ago. Second quarter revenues represented an increase of approximately $1.2 million over the $665,000 in revenues reported for the first quarter of 1999.

Second quarter net loss was $6.3 million, or ($0.22) per basic and diluted share, compared to a net loss of $23,000, or $0.00 per basic and diluted share, during the same period in 1998. Excluding amortization of deferred compensation and other stock based compensation charges, pro forma net loss and net loss per pro forma basic and diluted share were $3.5 million and ($0.12), respectively, for the second quarter. This compares to pro forma net income of $75,000 and net income per pro forma basic and diluted share of $0.00 for the same period one year ago.

The Company successfully completed its initial public offering of approximately 13.7 million shares on July 21, 1999 raising approximately $361 million in net proceeds. This includes the exercise of the underwriters' over-allotment of 1,350,000 shares.
