its the law of numbers but not necessarily the death of this companies stock....Msft, csco, dell, intc and many other excellent performers saw a decline in their growth rates when they reached a certain size. Comparing the sub growth of the 4th qtr. from 99 vs 98 may have shown a slowing in percentage terms but I don't know that to be fact. Can you tell me what the numbers were?
I do know they increased their subs in this qtr by a larger number than any other 4th qtr in their history.

Recent buyout of Gannett by COX cable is valued at $5000 per customer. AOL has around 20 million users and at $5000 a pair of eyeballs, that gives you the current market cap of $100 billion. Most cable companies have flat growth, AOL is still growing pretty fast. I hope AOL can come up with a solid, immediate, inexpensive, ubiquitous broadband plan.
