Wayne, It is good that you have self-control and can manage your margin accounts. Unfortunately, I have received perhaps 2 or 3 dozen emails from folks that followed some pump/dump/short scam or some Scammy Award winning company and lost everything. . . and at least a DOZEN letters from folks that lost big money [important money] due to mismanaging margin accounts. . .and are currently working to pay back their debt. Like it or not, it DOES happen. They often ASK ME for my help. . .getting them back on track. . .and I have been told by many that I should continue to speak out AGAINST margin trading pitfalls. . .among other things. So I will. It IS my soapbox. Regulars here know that I direct my comments from the BOTTOM up. This thread is not tailored to professional broker/traders with lengthy experience. . .nor is this a pro daytraders thread. And there is no reason for you to continue torturing yourself by reading messages here. There are plenty of great threads on SI for you to read. One more thing. . . you said, everybody has the instinct not to commit some sort of financial suicide We witnessed today. . that simply is not true.
