Bill, you make a very sound argument. Dipy, I apologize for being too critical. Still, who among us hasn't been on the wrong side of an investment and had to eat a loss? You've been saddled with dead money for three years and it's taken an emotional toll. I suggest you re-evaluate SGI and go from there based on the CURRENT SGI, not the looser of a company who pissed away an opportunity to be another Cisco and Sun. Maybe, the future is now.
Larry

Bill,

Yes, I've been trading SGI for about 4 years and yes, it's been a big disappointment. I've averaged down from about $25 all the way down to $9 and had sold off some when it spiked a few times. My average cost is now down to about $10-$11, and since it's not a large part of my portfolio, it doesn't keep me awake at nights. If I were in the same position as Dipy, being under water and unable to average down, I would have just sold off and moved on. Everyone makes mistakes, even the great Abby Joseph Cohen.
