IMHO the big risk was that AMD would slowly bleed its assets down to nothing over a period of years. But with its present go-for-broke strategy and market cap of less than 3 billion it almost can't lose. If the strategy doesn't work, there are two current FABs to sell off - that's got to come close to keeping the stock at its present value.
If the strategy works, and AMD can control the CPU market for awhile is it worth 5% as much as INTC ($80)? 10% ($160)?
