Taro: very interesting. Elmatador knows the tech stuff so I am sure he will reply. My side is the telecom market and I would question that anyone would eventually reserve that bottom 170kHz? Is it legislated?

If it is, then IMHO the law will change and if not then, we will see the demise of ISDN (even in the short-term).

Danke! I think we should add to these costs, the added costs of supporting both ISDN and ADSL platforms. What I meant was: DT offers the ISDN user to swap his present ISDN line and upgrade for ADSL.

Why two types of technologies in the same wire? I don't see the benefits, perhaps I'm missing something.

I'm not much knowledgeable about DT's plans: Could, please, explain why are they testing 25 systems?
