Hello, VISXbull - essentially, I ve said my peace, which is not incompatible with Charlie's, so I don't have much more to add. However, your response really validates my suspicion, when I said

... downright irresponsible by putting his special interest group before the will of the whole nation [in mourning.]

If memory serves, even the local team of NHL [sorry, I am not a big hockey person, so I forgot its name] decided to cancel its game. The point is not about NRA's ego, but a nation coming together. If unrelated groups like the NHL are willing to forego profit to show solidarity, related groups like NRA obviously can be held to at least the same standard, if not higher, rightly or wrongly so. Since it has chosen to stand apart, then it invites criticism, sometimes fairly and sometimes unfairly.

best, Bosco
