Eric, I really can't see people wanting to fiddle around with SIM cards. Software is the way to handle it. It saves brain bandwidth, the new scarcity. Technophobia for people like me who don't even have a videorecorder let alone know how to set the time on it and our microwave oven just flashes some meaningless lights means that they want to turn their phone on and talk. Preferably just tell the phone what they want to do.

"Now listen up phone. Call Mum....Hi Mum, just to let you know we'll be up for Thanksgiving. CUthen. Okay, bye". Hmmm, better check my shares and pop down to pickup that Lexus. "Hey, phone, get quotes. No, not those ones, Qcom, Globalstar and Techniclone". Holy! Look at them go. I better get the Globalstar option installed along with all the other stuff for the Lexus. "Okay phone [yes, I know I don't have to say Okay, or Hey when talk to you, so shut up and do it] get me the Lexus Web site, Sales section", which asks what the visitor wants, so he says "Order. Lexus - top model. Winn. Okay, Maurice Winn" [all the Winns must be ordering Lexi]. etc...etc...

AND we technophobes want to do this anywhere. AND get a walkround picture of the car on the 3D Sony eyewear. AND pay for it via 724. AND get it delivered to where we want it. AND all the rest. AND we want it cheap [the minutes].

No SIMs!!
