John, I can't comment to much on the CSFB situation. I will say that I do not believe this is part of a Japanese effort to attack Western banks. I believe several firms were investigated and the others did not get into trouble. I suspect this is pretty much it and not a war abrewing. The market is certainly betting that way. All the major banks are aware of the situation and if there were a major concern it would quickly be registered in an expansion of the Japan premium. That hasn't happened. Btw I am a big fan of Martin Armstrong's analysis. In this particular case I believe he over reacted to something. Henry
