Ciena Replaces Quantum On Nasdaq 100 Index

NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Ciena Corp., a maker of telecommunications
gear, Thursday said it will be added to the Nasdaq 100 Index, effective
Aug. 4.
Ciena (CIEN), based in Savage, Md., said it will replace Quantum
Corp. (QNTM), which is being delisted from Nasdaq.
The company said its shares will be included in both the Nasdaq 100
Index Shares and the Nasdaq 100 Index Tracking Stock, securities that
represent ownership in the Nasdaq 100 Trust. The trust holds a
portofolio of equity securities that comprise the Nasdaq 100 Index.
