For those looking for only 1 E & P stock, my suggestion would be to buy either APC or APA. Both are excellently managed companies that will weather the downturns better then most. They also have terrific upside under the current environment. While there will be other stocks that may appreciate a greater %, owning one of these 2 companies will allow one to sleep very soundly at night.
