MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 2, 1999--Rainforest
Cafe, Inc. (Nasdaq:RAIN - news) RAINFOREST CAFE, A WILD PLACE TO SHOP AND
EAT®, today reported domestic net sales of $24.8 million for the four-week period ended
August 1, 1999, an increase of 38 percent from domestic net sales of $17.9 million for the same
period in fiscal 1998.

Comparable store sales for the thirteen units open for at least 18 months decreased 4.0 percent
for the four weeks ended August 1, 1999 compared to the same four-week period in fiscal 1998.
This represents an improvement over the June 1999 comparable store sales, which decreased
7.2 percent.

RAINFOREST CAFE, Inc. develops, owns and operates combination restaurant/retail facilities
offering a stimulating and entertaining rain forest theme providing visitors with ''A Wild Place
to Shop and Eat''®. There are currently 35 RAINFOREST CAFE units open including 25
domestic locations and 10 international units. RAINFOREST CAFE, Inc. common shares are
traded on the NASDAQ National Market under the symbol RAIN.

My opinion of RAIN has not changed.

I still think this stock is still a DOG !

However I continue to hold a few shares, some of them are at a much higher dollar cost average. A few months back, I bought another 1000 at $5.875

I think it will recover when all the others are dead & gone.

Holding for longer term.....
