Seattle Times reported 6/4/99 that Bank of Scotland called off the deal with Pat Robertson due to depositor backlash to involvement with Mr. Robertson. It points out that he may have hurt his image with several million Scots by painting Scotland as an un-Christian "dark land."

Anyway, it appears that you are correct, that deal is dead.

My interest is that MRIS appears to be a value play on Internet banking infrastructure. I've bought and sold some shares profitably in the past, and watch MRIS, SONE and SCAI. Net stocks are soft at the moment, but I suspect that the Net will rise again.
