Anindo,

>>>> Do ypu think the SOX will hold up in the upcoming correction? The SOX's strength has been amazing. I remember in 1994 when the bonds were in a bear market the SOX did very well. <<<<

If it is only a correction say in the 10% range, and if the correction happens/continues shortly, then I would say that the SOX will hold up better than most of the other indices. That is not to say that it wont pullback, just that it would probably pullback less and be one of the first sectors to rebound.

If the correction is much larger and is actually a bear market, sorry but all sectors will be hit significantly, and the SOX could get hit more on a percentage basis. I feel that way since in a bear market my belief is that the high P/E stocks may get hit the worse.

A 10% correction is quite common on a annual basis. I know from 1996 we have had a 10% correction each year so far, so a 10% correction is not a catastophy.
