I dunno, seems Intel has been taking more of the cue from the AMD release scenario as of late. Release now, ship a month or two later.
They can always blame it on the chipset. <G>
In the case of the Athlon, seems to be related to the motherboard but a delay is a delay, is a delay in my book...Athlon is late, K6-II-500s are just now shipping, about a month and a half LATE...probably will be another month and a half until we see a K6-III-550...really too late as AMDs own Athlon will be running 650 by then...
The joke is that Intel has a fair shot of maintaining the MHZ lead/parity into next year....or just losing it for a couple months.
