Ever since the "Intel Inside" marketing came out, Intel hasn't had any competition in the mid-high end of the PC market. So there is no way of knowing if people who spend more on their PCs are loyal to Intel.

As far as with people who know about processors and want the fastest available processor, the Athlon should have no problem making sales.
