Water, Water Everywhere - NOT!

Ron,

What do you think elevated municipal water tanks are for? How do you think the water gets up there?

Ever hear of pumping stations in long trunk lines?

What about the water pressure for fire hydrants?

What about water pressure for apartments or office buildings?

What about water pressure needed for hot water heating?

I was not talking about my situation or about you living in Alaska, I was talking about most people living in cities and towns across the USA and Canada. As I have mentioned before, I live in the country and have my own well ... As long as I have enough gas to run my generator occasionally, I can continue to pump my own water.

Is it really necessary to play this silly game of 'you say cold, I say hot' or 'you say white, I say black'? Why not just think about what I or Ken or anyone else posts and quietly accept it or discard it? As I said in my earlier post, I really don't care which.

BTW, I do at least scan all articles other people post ... Even the polly ones.

John
