LG: EDIT: I am not keen on this astrology stuff myself. I think we would be much better off with a good psychic.

I think we would be much better off with a good whiskey!

Gosh, went flat on Thursday as I was in meetings all Friday - and I get back to 100's of messages and what appears to be an interesting day on the market. Just starting to pick through charts and get my bearings for Monday.

Monday is a holiday in Canada - never have been able to determine if that makes a difference in US markets.

Annecdotally, you might all be interested to know that when the TV market news reports on the daily events, other than commenting on the levels of the TSE, conversation immediately shifts to Greenspan or Rubin or US GDP or ECI or Employment.

More annecdotal evidence, perhaps of no value - As I talk to Canadians that are active investors or traders, most are more active in US issues. We have precious little in growth in Canada, although the oil and gas have treated us kindly this year.

I have no idea if our puny dollar and smaller population make a difference on US markets but FWIW many will be off to the beach on Monday.
