Phil, I know!

This is a kind of membership club (so to speak) which charges for the privilege of being a member. It has windows (so to speak) that the outside world can use to look in and see what is going on.

Those on the inside pay to be here--that's what makes it different than being on a street corner, talking in a bar or at a political rally, or in a religious service. If the Bill of Rights applied and if Free Speech was in effect, hardly any posts would (or could) ever be removed.

The expectation of privacy and free speech here is not a realistic one. Heck, even PM's Private Messages do not carry any promise nor guarantee of privacy!

I wish I could count on private messages being indeed private. I wish free speech applied here. I wish the Bill of Rights was in effect here. Unfortunately reality doesn't work that way.

"Freedom of the Press belongs to those who own one."

The new site has terrible navigation, readability and presence. But it does not come with a Big Brother guarantee.

In this realm, only the market decides, not the constitution.
