J.D., my sister-in-law's friend's cousin knows somebody who's brother is a janitor for Dell. He was cleaning up after lunch and overheard a discussion that Dell may be in talks to acquire Intel and Microsoft to create WintelDell.

:o)

JD,
Hi!!!

RE: RUMOR...(Unfounded, Unsubstantiated, and probably Untrue, BUT------>
still very interesting.

Just talking with Drew babes when I find this message email message from Patrick and yet another DELLHEAD up here in New Paltz also insta messages me and informs me of your "RUMOR"....Patrick,Drew,Lisa dear...tell Timmy he is gonnnnnna be rich if this "rumor" comes true...Of course JD this is NO RUMOR to some of us up here in IBM country...It's old now...but just in case...This IBM rumor has hit me for a minimum of a year now and has been punching harder and harder of late...I can't walk anywhere in this town or area and not find someone I know that works there telling me of IBM exiting the PC business...Incrementally perhaps but I believe that if a minimum of a dozen folks told you something since this Spring you'd start to believe it was anything but a rumor...I have maintained since the Nashville announcement the very same feelings you have...Construction in Austin and Nashville is a must...but, the extent and seemed urgency of the #'s in Nashville has had my curiosity a flying...
Now the really curious thing that has reallllllly had me dreaming is: If Michael told us that in five years one would be out of the PC business...was he referring to someone exiting it because they were forced out...or because they decided to exit it? That is...is HWP on the way out forcefully and IBM is being smart enough to exit it...even though they are losing almost a $billion each year? Now, wouldn't that be something...IBM exits...and HWP folds?

Best, Kemble
