Truedog, medicaid is for poor people. So, if you have no income, no house, no car etc. yes, then you too can get medicaid. Otoh, you can be worth millions, as many real estate owners in California are, receive medicare, and be completely subsidized by people with no health insurance. It is blatant age discrimination. I must say, it rings awfully hollow when some right-winger voices in favor of entitlements. It happens from time to time here, usually by people that are receiving entitlements. At least when I say I am not in favor of more tax cuts I am willing to foot the bill myself.
