Carl,

No comment on the latest Veeco acquisition until I see more details (like what will they pay). Optimag's product is new and has not been widely sold into the market but the technology is interesting.

Carl, as I said earlier, VECO is pretty good at buying companies cheap and absorbing them organically. I do not know anything about OptiMag, they seem to be a real start up company, not even 2 years old and probably starved for cash in this DD slump, hopefully VECO saw there something that with their own strong financial position can be leveraged to something serious. As far as the price of the stock, I still maintain that we have a good chance of testing at least the $25 area, and possibly much lower ($22?) if the current malaise continues through the end of August. Long term, it is an underpriced jewel, IMHO.

PS, did you see the disastrous results of WFR? I think there is a real and present danger they will not make it past the next semi slump.
