My understanding is that KIDE has the licensing rights to Pokemon products manufactured in the U.S. So whenever products are manufactured in the U.S., KIDE gets a cut. KIDE is also one of the sponsors of the coming Pokemon movie later this year and should make bundles off the movie. SYCD is a distributor of Pokemon products manufactured by TOMY in Japan and from my understanding Japanese produced Pokemon videos through their distribution agreement with Pioneer. The product sold by SYCD will be a little more expensive because it is the original stuff made in Japan. It may be more appealing to collectors and won't include cards and stuff that sell on a massive scale in U.S. KIDE definitely has a strong, direct Pokemon connection and is benefiting enormously right now. SYCD's Pokemon sales remain a mystery until we get an idea of the quantity and sales figures. The biggest difference between KIDE and SYCD is that KIDE makes money off of their licensing rights and SYCD makes money selling and distributing different products. What I like best about SYCD is that they are diversifying into many different product areas. Pokemon is only one of many product lines that they are getting their hands into. Japanese anime is actually their leading product and they hope to capture the anime market. They also sell some Japanese produced video stuff for the Christian community. In speaking to the President, Sy Picon, I was given the impression that SYCD is working on a whole lot of other deals that should produce exponential growth. We may be hearing about one or more of these deals in the near future from what I've heard through the grapevine.
