Bobby, quite right - as usual the market has been sending messages all along. the banks have mostly failed to exceed their '98 highs and MER never confirmed the bull either. i sure hope you remember my classic post a few months ago where i described the nutz as the barometer for the health of the mania. the barometer indicates a storm is brewing. i also get the feeling from the tape action that the usual healthy bull market rotation has given way to a different type of rotation lately - where money looks for a safe place to flee to, and doesn't seem to find one. hb
