The Gambler's Anonymous people have jumped all over this saying that this incident shows the need for legislation to control daytrading.(It all sounds like a restraint of trade issue anyway which would violate all kinds of current laws and amendments)

I heard it over and over again yesterday in the car as I make a 4 hour car trip. ON BLOOMBURG RADIO of all places.

I really think that this unfortunate incident which was carried out by an individual who was had probably previously committed murder and it is being seized upon by the usual "talking heads", "pundits" and Politicians who are using it to their advantage.

Your suggestion of a response to the tragedy in Atlanta is a good idea. I subscribe to the "think globally act locally" mentality. IOW doing something good for your community will show your fellow citizens that daytraders are full of heart. Plenty of charitable organizations out there who can use a helping hand
