My life has been made so rich by all of you. Of course I give My Lord all the credit, sorry ! But before you get offended let me proceed. You have to be willing to let the Lord bless me through you. It is the willingness that goes the distance with the Lord.

How can we ever please him ? Why should we ever try ? What could we have that He could possibly desire or need or want?

Why does God send armies of angels to defend us, ministering spirits to bless or heal us . Why does God move heaven and hell on our behalf, remove our enemies from us, and love and bless us when we least deserve it.?

It is because God made us, formed us with His own hands, understands our temptations, our weaknesses, our frailties. How many proud people do you see that, have nothing, live miserably lives, and have all the answers; are willing to give YOU advice but God forbid if they would ever accept advice.

It is all in the heart.Do you think that God wants us to pay for our mistakes. Of course not. But often times He wants us to learn from them and there is no way we could do that unless we did so. But never in Christ will you pay the full extent of mistakes. God is always merciful, never expecting us to pay the full price for our mistakes. Often times just a taste is all He expects . Just so we can learn.

When God's hand is in it He restores ALWAYS better than the original condition. When He picks up the pieces he restores better than our originals. How often in life are our greatest blessings closely next in line to our greatest failures. Our happiest times just beyond the greatest disappointments.

There is no exception. God will show us what Christ is all about. How else can He explain the cross. Every episode in our lives that is of God will point to grace ( Gods Riches at Christ's Expense). The circumstances will point to undeserved merit and acceptance , and access beyond what we rightly deserve or call for or pray for, or even believe for.

You see if God was looking at us ( only at us ) to decide how much to bless us we would be terribly lacking. That is why He keeps one eye on us and one eye on Christ and then decides. Put another way he puts a transparent picture of Christ before Him and always sees us through that image of Jesus.

We do the same thing with our children, or at least should.

You look at a picture of your daughter for instance and realize she will grow up in a number of years . You see a mixture of A****, nana H******* P****, S*****'s mom that I've never met but hope to some day, S*****'S sister. You filter out a lot of negative. You cut her slack if you will. You are already biased or predisposed to be good to her, lenient with her; not giving her what she fully deserves but what it is you have made up in your mind to prepare for her. God in so looking at his children in Christ does the same thing. We are predisposed to His blessings. The table has been tilted our way. Oh what a wonderful Lord........ And YOU' ALL ARE further proof to me that grace is still alive and well. And the cards are only more evidence . More than I deserve or expected....To all on the ASK GOD thread. Thank you.

Sam,

This is a post from another thread that I am pasting over here..

----------------------------------------------------------------------

In the local paper today, in central fl.:

Pope John Paul on Wed. sez "Hell is not a punishment imposed externally by God, but the condition resulting from attitudes and actions
which people adopt in this life." and then "So eternal damnation is not God's work but is actually our own doing."

!!!!!!!

also:

"the pontiff's end of millenium guidelines on hell came a week after he told pilgrims heaven was not 'a physical place in the clouds but a
living and personal relationship of union with the Holy Trinity' and that a foretaste could be had on earth."

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sounds like the POPE is almost starting to come around to your way of thinking! LOL

Mark

I realize you don't believe in hell, but it's a start.....
