- I agree that AOL "has fat profit margins"

- by definition, that means more players will invade its turf

- WalMart, on the other hand, deals in razor thin margins; with low priced items, & very few want to compete with them

- Look at MSFT - where there's significant barriers to entry

- or like Yahoo - where its platform has become the overwhelming choice amongst users

- sorry, but AOL is nothing more than a differentiated commodity that will erode in value over time. And you're seeing that now reflected in AOL's stock price plunge
