wow, Abelson is the epitome of the sour grapes curmudgeon. The man comes across as not only a snob, but also just a plain jerk. I would not worry about any legislation or anything else to curb daytrading because of this random act of violence; as we all know, there is a lot of money involved, and They will not allow the golden goose to be slaughtered... remember what Big Money did to Hillary's health care plan: squashed it like a bug... different Big Money in control here, but the same deal.

Thanks for sharing Abelson with us. He alone is the primary reason I haven't read Barron's in at least 5 years. I can't take being talked down to by this guy.

Someone should consider regulating him!
