Some places around here have put in water controls ~ the entire state of Maryland, and Fairfax City. We are not required to do so, but I've been conserving water, not watering the lawn or washing the car, I just water my tomatoes. It is very dry. Occasionally we get a really good rainstorm, rolling right over the Blue Ridge, thunder and lightning and a lot of rain, I guess it's worse a little north.

And it's been very, very hot.
