"Those who try to investigate quickly learn that virtually all data concerning violence and psychotropic drugs are protected by the confidentiality provided minors."

That's certainly not true. Individual patient files are confidential, but Medical journals are full of studies performed under scientific standards looking at the effects of psychotropic drugs on human behavior, including violence. I have never run across a single scientifically valid study showing a statistical correlation between properly administered psychotropic medication and violence. There was actually a recent very good study on Ritalin that was widely publicized. I will try to find the link. In sum, it strongly supported the safety of this medication when used properly.

The other kid in Columbine WASN'T on psychoactive medication and we have no idea whether Barton was or wasn't yet (unless there is something new I haven't heard). Stop looking for simple solutions to the basic problem of human evil. I'm wondering, are you a Scientologist pushing an agenda?

Are you aware that nicotine is a powerful psychotropic drug? Not to mention being highly addictive.
