This is the key statement, IMO.

"Wave has agreements with several content providers, including
Electronic Arts, GT Interactive, and Cendant, who are attracted to Wave Direct due to its flexible pricing models and direct contact with consumers....."

Companies will pay big $ to get closer to the ultimate user of their products. WAVX will enable that for most.
