Yeah, "let the sun shine in" loses a lot of charm in the dead of summer. On the good side, though, it's forced me out of the house more in the evenings. It's too nasty to spend that many hours each evening. As a result I've found a great new spot. There's no pool table (slight drawback), but it's nice. Mostly a restaurant, with a small bar in the middle and seating outside. Tuesday-Saturday they have a piano player and people sit around the piano and sing. Some of them in tune. There's enough light at the bar to read by and since it's not really a bar, people don't think you are there to meet. And the burgers are very good.
