STAR Telecom Germany Announces New Retail Program; Company Completes Rollout of German Switching Network SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Aug 10, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE via COMTEX) -- STARTelecommunications Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of STAR Telecommunications, Inc. (Nasdaq:STRX), today announced the launch of a new German retail program, aimed at providing a comprehensive set of telecommunications services to businesses. Additionally, STAR Germany today announced that it has completed the rollout of its switching network. The Company now has eight operational switching centers in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover, Munich, Nurnberg and Stuttgart. STAR is now offering a combination of local, national and international telecommunications services including dial-up Internet services to business customers in Germany.
