Thread
Given that I no longer hold NN (but still follow) I don't have the vested interest you all have, but I thought I'd comment anyway.

1/ I can't see how many of the thread membership seem to figure Mr. Matthews would end up as CEO of Ericsson. Sure they're looking for a new one, but being CEO of NN is a long way from running a corp with the size/history/european politics of Ericsson. I don't see Matthews as the hard nosed business guy that Ericsson needs to get their act together.

2/ Ericsson's performance over the last few years has been less than spectacular. While NN would seem to be a buyout target for several firms, in my estimation, Ericsson is one of the less attractive potential partners. Also, the possible culture gap (and geographical) could present a challenge.

3/ Seems to me that NN has great technology and simply needs the management expertise to execute. As an NN shareholder, I'd be much happier with the company executing better, rather than selling out for a modest premium, just when the demand part of the equation is becoming so attractive.

All IMO only. Am watching NN with interest. As a previous shareowner, I'd like to see them become leading players, although I think the odds are stacked against them now, particularly given the accelerating performance of NT, LU, etc.

Good luck with the next quarters results. If history is a guide, it sure won't be boring.
