That is not what I said, Susan.

That's a crock. People resist deterioration. Same as shooing flies off your meat.

Susan, I think people resist Ugly, particularly when
the Ugly looks like the cesspool known as Yahoo.

If options were added to allow muting of the excessively
bold colors and to eliminate the alternating gray bars
on certain listings, I think most people would accept
the new SI. At the very least, I would.

I agree with your post that most of the complaints about the new SI are because people resist change.>>>>

Susan, you are a big SI fan and Go2Net stock purchaser - not that this is influencing your posts at all.

However, are you intentionally being obtuse or did you just not understand JBE's post. I know that I skim posts and frequently miss stuff myself. I am wondering how you could think JBE was advocating that the complaints are due to resistance to change.

I hate the new SI
but my feeling is that SI will not care what their members think
and will continue on as planned and everyone's resistance is futile.

Btw, how ironic that Paul Allen pulled out of Datek deal after the contract was signed with SI to provide the so called non-banner. Wonder if they would have put the non-banner up if it weren't for the pending Allen deal.

Susan,

<< I agree with your post that most of the complaints about the new SI are because people resist change. >>

Egad! You TOTALLY misread an excellent post and misquoted it.

PLEASE read the post again. It is excellent.

jbe opens with "It is NOT because people are always resistant to change" and closes with a very important statement: "As it is, people sense a change in philosophy -- and they don't like it".

jbe said what I wanted to say better than I could say it.

Most people resist change for the worse.
